Team Some Assembly Required Makes First Appearance

Jim and I attended our first NJ Sharing Network 5K “Celebration of Life” shortly after his transplant. He was unable to walk that year as he was still recovering. But, we plopped down some lawn chairs and cheered every single runner and walker that came by.

Following that, we were “adopted” by Team Summit a group of folks who also happened to br brought together by liver transplant.

In 2018, though, we hit a snag with the date. Due to a previous commitment, we couldn’t make it to New Providence. But, wasn’t there also now a 5K in Long Branch?

So, Team Some Assembly Required was born!

Oh, and did I mention the Long Branch walk is on the boardwalk and has a nearby tiki bar? Sold!

Jim stuck to water and took in the view while I took one for the team and tried out some of the adult refreshments.

Yeah… we’re going to make this a tradition.
